Rosso Barchetta

Monferrato rosso D.O.C.

Dedicated to passion

“This wine originates in the combination of two passions and is produced with the grapes from the winery’s
best vineyards using sophisticated techniques. Like the famous red sports cars, this wine has a thundering
voice, a reassuring reserve of strength.”
Giorgio Schön

VINEYARD: Single vineyards – southern-southwesterly exposure

GRAPES USED: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot

PRODUCTION METHOD: The best grapes are selected from the most qualified vineyards. The destemmed grapes are left to macerate from 13 to 18 days, and the cap is delicately punched down every day. The wine is then pumped into barriques, and after 8 months two “cuvées” are selected. The first is exclusively bottled into about 1000 Magnums and rests for 12 months.

COLOUR: Intense ruby red with garnet tinges.

BOUQUET: Exceptionally elegant and characteristic. Scents of violet, small red fruit with a slightly spicy finish.

FLAVOUR: Intense, persistent, and frank. Rounded, with a complex aftertaste and ripe red fruit finish.

LABEL ROSSO BARCHETTA: The label is an interpretation of the “chassis plate”, a car frame’s identification plate, which used to be fitted to Ferraris in the Fifties and Sixties, among them the red racing “Barchetta”. The back of the bottle can be personalized with the identification number of one’s own car, or with the name of the person the bottle is dedicated to.
